SLIP & FALL ACTIONS:

A slip and fall action usually involves an individual who has been injured by slipping and falling on the property of a defendant.  In order to prevail in a slip and fall action, a plaintiff must first prove that a dangerous condition on the defendant's property caused the plaintiff's injuries.  Then, the plaintiff must establish that the owner of the property knew or had notice of the dangerous condition that caused the plaintiff's injuries for some period of time prior to the plaintiff's injuries.  Finally, the plaintiff must prove that the property owner failed to correct the dangerous condition within a reasonable amount of time.
